  • To lead the delivery of the Registered Care Home within the regulations of the CQC and as the Registered Manager

• Lead the creation, implementation and review of an annual business plan for the service in line with the organisational strategic objectives and the delivery requirements of the service

• Develop and update a live risk register, implementing mitigation actions and interventions and reviewing the level of each identified risk on a regular basis

• To ensure that service users at Lynton Terrace have their needs, risks and aspirations accurately assessed and they are always provided with opportunities to articulate and inform how they would like services to be delivered to them, to meet their self-determined goals

• To ensure all staff are accurately recorded all information related to the service users’ support under GDPR

• Housing management including excellent void management, H&S and Fire Safety and ensure a healthy and safe environment for residents, employees and visitors

• Ensure that maintenance procedures are used effectively, and that repairs are carried out within prescribed timescales according to the relevant responsibilities

• Deliver effective outcomes for service users through the provision of appropriate interventions, co-produced activities and events

• Training Needs analysis of staff and meeting the learning and continued professional development needs of the team

• Model the behaviour expected of staff including person centred support, reflective practice, coproduction, recovery and other psychologically informed approaches

• Excellent financial management including staffing the service within the staffing model, delivering within budget, attention to, and actions to resolve issues with placement fees arrears, and any other financial concerns

. • Line management of the staff team according to their job descriptions and the needs and aspirations of the service users

• Embed the active use of all relevant Hestia policy and procedures within the service

• To conduct regular management quality audits at Lynton Terrace to support the delivery of quality services and provide management reports highlighting potential business risks, opportunities and strengths

• To lead the team on accurate medication administration in line with CQC requirements and Hestia policies and procedures

Key skills 

• Leadership and motivation to manage a team to facilitate positive differences for people

• Demonstrable experience of managing services for people with complex mental health

• Empathy for service users and the drive to be positive and assertive in support of recovery

• Managerial experience; recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, L&D and performance management

• High quality housing management

• Budgetary management and compliance with Financial policies and procedures

• Develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders; service users, family, placement officers and a range of statutory, community and voluntary partners

• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

• Ability to manage information, analyse performance and practice in the team and make recommendations for change

• Understanding of and the ability to implement good Diversity and Inclusion practice
