We are urgently seeking to recruit experienced Senior Healthcare Care Assistant’s (HCAs) to place for various ad-hoc and short to long term assignments to suit in NHS hospitals, clinics, nursing/Nursing Home and within the community to provide high quality patient care.

Key Clinical skills and competencies:

  • To assist in the delivery of nursing care
  • To undertake escorting of residents to other departments as directed by the nurse in Charge
  • Engaging and interacting with the patient whenever the opportunity arises
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in behaviour or condition to the registered nurse
  • Recording and reporting of vital signs under supervision of registered nurse
  • Ensuring the patient has adequate nutrition and hydration
  • Providing assistance with personal care

 

You will need to possess the following skills:

  • An approachable and caring nature
  • Good communication skills and listening skills
  • The ability to keep sensitive information confidential at all times
  • A respectful approach to residents and colleagues
  • Reliability and Flexibility
  • The ability to work as part of a team

 

Requirements:

  • Must have NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Certificate or higher
  • Current Mandatory and Statutory training certificate(s) Skills for Health Allied (within the last 12 months)
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate (within the last 12 months) or if over 12 months it must be on the DBS update service
  • Hep B, MMR, Varicella and TB scar proof
  • Must have relevant UK experience
  • Current and up to date training records
  • 2 professional clinical references to cover the last 3 years of employment
